OCTOBER 2024 Almost as soon as I’d finished getting An Ultrakey for Dione ready for the big bookstore in the cloud, I was almost literally struck down by a bout of sciatica. I think it might have been my back complaining about the end of summer and the start of the cooler, even wetter weather.

SEPTEMBER 2024 Self-publishing is like a dark tunnel that has suddenly filled with people poking flashlights in my face and telling me to follow them to the light at the end of the tunnel, before taking me back the way I came and then handing me the bill for their services. What to do? Well,

AUGUST 2024 It’s August, and that means even pink-skinned dudes like me have to slap on some Factor 50 and head for the beach. What will I be reading as I sit on the towel under my trusty umbrella? That’s a good question, but it’s not what we’re here to talk about. This was a

Revisiting the link, I see

FEBRUARY 2024 One of the more trivial consequences of the pandemic and the various lockdowns and ongoingrestrictions was that it thwarted my plan to join the local astronomy society, Astrocantabria, in early2020. I had been poised to fill in the form and was already looking forward to my first monthly talk when everything was shut
